Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Low Battery Studios (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information in connection with the mobile applications we publish (the “Apps”). It applies to every App we publish, unless that App links to its own separate policy.
Information we collect
For most of our Apps, none. They do not collect, transmit, or sell personal data — you create no account, and we never ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying information. A few Apps make a limited, feature-specific connection to us — for example, to verify a paid licence — and where one does, that App links to its own policy describing exactly what is sent, why, and what (if anything) we keep. We never sell personal data, and we run no advertising or analytics servers.
Information stored on your device
Our Apps are local-first. Anything you create, and any progress you make, is stored locally on your device — typically in a database inside the App. This information stays on your device, under your control, and is never visible to us.
No analytics, advertising, or tracking
We don’t use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking technologies. Our Apps contain no advertising identifier, show no ads, and do not track you across other apps or websites. On Apple platforms we do not ask to track you; on Android the advertising-ID permission is blocked.
Data you choose to export or share
Some Apps let you export, back up, or share your own data. When you do, that data goes only where you send it — a file in a location you choose, or another app you pick to share through. We never receive a copy.
Permissions
Our Apps are built with standard mobile frameworks, which may include a basic network permission by default. We don’t use it to track you or to gather information about you. Where an App does make a network request for a specific feature — such as verifying a paid licence — that App’s own policy describes it. Any other permission an App requests, such as scheduling a local reminder or saving a file you export, is used only to provide that feature, never to gather information about you.
Children’s privacy
Our Apps are not designed to gather personal information about you, and they collect nothing at all from children — a child’s activity never leaves their device. Where an App makes a feature-specific connection (such as verifying a School’s paid licence), it concerns that account, not any individual learner. We do not knowingly gather information from children.
How your information is protected
Information an App stores stays on your device and is protected by your device’s own security — your passcode, the operating system’s sandboxing, and device encryption. Data an App keeps on your device has no server-side copy to be lost or breached. Where an App transmits something for a feature like licence verification, it travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and that App’s policy describes what — if anything — is retained.
Retention and deletion
Since your data is stored locally, you are in full control of it. To delete it, use the App’s reset option if it has one, or simply uninstall the App — that removes the data it stored on your device. For on-device data we retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Where an App sends us something for a feature like licence verification, that App’s own policy describes what is kept and for how long.
Links to other services
An App may occasionally link to a third-party website or service — for instance, to let you support our work. Those services are operated by others and have their own privacy policies; any information you provide there is handled by them, not us. We never receive your payment details.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Apps evolve. Changes will appear on this page with a new effective date. If a future App ever handles data differently, we will update this policy — or provide an App-specific one — before that App relies on it.
